Gentlemen For Life

As iron sharpens iron,
one man sharpens another.

Gentlemen for Life is a six-week program designed to help young men explore, observe, and recognize the value of being gentlemen, through meaningful conversations, mentorship, community service, and personal growth.

The goal is to have young men embrace the mentality it takes to be a gentleman on a consistent basis and to understand the influence they can have; to develop and refine their leadership skills while teaching them soft skill principles (interpersonal skills, communicating effectively, critical thinking, flexibility and adaptability, self-motivation, responsibility, and so on).

The purpose of this learning experience is to raise awareness, gain knowledge, and develop skills to become a Gentlemen for Life.

Gentleman- A chivalrous, courteous, or honorable man. A polite or formal way of referring to a man.

The Character of a Gentleman

The character of a gentleman is sensitive, yet strong. It is a voice of reason for those who are unsure. A gentleman is generous with his time, talents and treasures. He is respectful, patient, and inspires others to become the best version of themselves while he personally continues to challenge himself to grow as well.

Purpose of Program

The sole purpose of this learning experience is to raise awareness, gain knowledge, and develop skills to become a gentleman for life.

We urge every participant to keep a journal to document the information learned from each session or assignment. All handouts should be placed in a binder for future references. There will be a required reading assignments to help aid the development of personal growth. Individual activities and assignments will be given to students to work on with staff, other students, and community members.
